Last month, I was flown out to shoot a destination wedding. He was from London, she was from Kenya, and their love story has a new beginning in India. Vibrant colours, glorious sunshine and non stop fun spread over three days. The levels of excitement were already high with it being a destination wedding, but an Indian Wedding in India is something everyone needs to experience.
As a wedding photographer, there are a number of considerations to take when shooting an international wedding. You have to consider logistics, making sure you have all the details required, transporting all your equipment from home to your destination and most importantly a way to back up all the work you have done. If you’re a photographer and you’re reading this, I took my laptop and two hard drives, plus my cameras shoot straight on to two cards, this way, the photos were saved in 4 different locations.
It was my first time experiencing a Hindu Wedding in India let alone shooting one, so I was blown away by how extravagant it was. For me this wedding was all about the emotions and the moments. I hope you enjoy the slideshow. Thank you Vinney and Hasmita for trusting me to capture your special day.
